Our in-house control procedures ensure that installations are completed to the highest quality, and a comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manual is supplied with each project. We are able to offer full training, and where necessary can pre-program equipment such as lighting controllers with initial set-ups, reducing the learning curve for your staff and ensuring new AV set-ups are useable immediately.

An AV Installation Coordinator will visit your premises to do a site survey and discuss with you your needs for your AV systems. From this an initial proposal will be created with a specification and quotation. If required a demonstration will be arranged with our technicians who will be able to discuss the merits of particular equipment options. Further to any revisions of specification, a final proposal and quotation will be issued, and once accepted works will begin.

With EPS’ backgound in live event production, we are ideally placed to provide entertainment technology for entertainment venues. From sound and lighting packages for ~100 capacity venues to video walls and grid systems, our project team will discuss your needs and specify appropriate products for your market.

Distributed audio systems for background music are often poorly understood, leading to loud ‘hot spots’ around a venue and causing conversation for customers in these areas to be difficult. EPS understands the needs to ensure consistent, even coverage throughout these kinds of venues, which rely on atmosphere to drive sales. Working alongside partners who supply streaming audio services, we can provide you with a turnkey audio system which complements rather than detracts from the ambience of your venue.

AV Installation Schools and VIllage Halls

Taking the lead from our Venue Services department contracts with schools we are able to anticipate school’s needs and bring to them an installation which both serves to improve the production of school events whilst also acting as a valuable learning experience for students. Drawing on our installation and production experience in a professional events environment, we will suggest ways to better equip your school facilities to give your students be best experience as well as being user friendly for teaching staff.

Multi use spaces such as village halls, which have external hirers with no technical knowledge operating their equipment, require a particularly sensitive touch to ensure that minimal maintenance and service is required. Reliability coupled with ease of use is essential. Our extensive experience of these spaces and of installed equipment has lead us to a robust approach using consistent equipment choices, and has meant that our installations have a reputation for longevity.

Acoustically hostile environments such as churches which have often been built using hard reflective surfaces and few materials offering sound absorption are inherently difficult to achieve consistent, intelligible audio within; however our experience of these spaces gives us the edge when specifying a system.

Whether purely for background music, for announcements or a complete experience with coordinated lighting and video content, we can design and implement a system which is bespoke to your brand identity.

When workers in large work spaces bring in their own radios, all tuned to different stations, it creates multiple issues for employers. Firstly, it increases the noise floor in the factory or warehouse, reducing ease of communication and safety; secondly, it can bring with it issues around music licensing potentially opening up the employer to fines for non-compliance.

EPS can provide large scale background music and announcements systems, working with music streaming partners to ensure there are no legal issues encountered, and by having the same audio in all areas the overall volume can be lowered. Utilising 100V-line speaker systems to cover large sites, integrating Dante based distributed systems over the customers’ IP networks, and cabling externally using UV-resistant cabling are just some of the approaches EPS have undertaken to provide comprehensive installed audio systems in these locations.

Our AV Installation department also looks after the servicing needs of our customers; whether this is a Service Level Agreement, part of a rental contract or on a break and fix basis, with our technicians consistently out on the road we are able to react quickly to any service and maintenance requests. Through our Hire & Production department, we are able to offer courtesy equipment should one of your items need removal for further inspection and repair. Our dedicated service facility at our Oxfordshire base means that equipment can be quickly fixed, tested and returned to you.

Outsourcing for your AV business

EPS provides extensive outsourcing services for your AV integration business. With racked-out, tooled-up installation vehicles and technicians located nationwide, we can provide you with on-site support wherever you are located. The majority of this type of work we do is in London, so you can be confident we have a vehicle heading into the capital every day – ideal if you need a part delivered or some extra help for your own technicians for a few hours.

Recent projects have included video walls, huddle rooms and video conferencing systems. Our own in-house installation work is centred around music venues, bars and halls, meaning we do not compete with AV integrators.

Our pool of highly experienced installation technicians available for on-site work have ECS cards, PASMA, IPAF, Emergency First Aid and Asbestos Awareness certificates. Just as comfortable arriving on site wearing your branding or ours, our technicians have comprehensive tool kits and are versatile and capable.

Complementing our Installation Technicians are our Commissioning Engineers, who are experienced in commissioning AV systems in various environments.

We have a dedicated rack building space in house with experienced wiremen and a comprehensive test bay. Our in-house standards manual means that every rack is wired to the same quality, ensuring uniform appearance to the customer. We have extensive stocks of connectors and consumables, and can turn around rack builds at very short notice.

From specifying equipment to wiring diagrams, our project team can help you at every step of the way. Having installed many AV set ups for many customers, our inherent knowledge of available technologies is ideal for informing decisions and designing systems for your customers. Experienced CAD technicians can provide you with comprehensive diagrams for your technicians on site to work from, and revise as necessary at any stage of the process.
