Boisdale of Canary Wharf – Audio System

With a roster of high end performers regularly visiting Boisdale, the need for a high quality sound system is obvious.  With NEXO’s parent company Yamaha already having a relationship with Boisdale, it was a natural progression for a NEXO sound system to be added.  NEXO turned to partners EPS to complete the installation.

Having created a system design on NEXO’s NS-1 software, EPS specified and installed a mix of Geo M6 cabinets with MSUB15, and ID24s around the venue for fill speakers.  A pair of IDS110 speakers were installed beneath the stage to ensure the front rows got the full experience, as the main PA system had to be positioned behind these seats.

Utilising full Dante infrastructure with primary and redundant networks routed through Cisco switches, the audio routing control is provided via Yamaha MTX5 processing.  Audio input is facilitated by a trio of Yamaha Tio boxes, to match the venue’s existing Yamaha TF5 console.

Using both an Apple Mac Mini and an Intel NUC, off site access to all functionality is available for EPS’ engineers to oversee the ongoing smooth running of the sound system.
